Search Engine Optimisation ( SEO ) Services

SEO is made up of various elements, from choosing the right keywords to "on-page" and "off-page" optimisation. Bringing each of these elements together is critical to search engine optimisation success. Web Dandy offer a range of search engine optimisation services.

"Targeted Keywords":

Before beginning SEO you must determine which keywords your potential customers/visitors are using to search for the information/products that they want. It's important to get the 'right' keywords i.e. "targeted keywords" which have the highest relevance to your web site and which will result in the highest conversion rates.

"On-Page SEO":

Any website which wants to rank well in the search engines must concentrate on 'good content' - you may have heard the saying 'CONTENT IS KING' - well it's true.

On-page search engine optimisation also includes what is placed in the headers, body, and on-page links (both internal and external). Special attention should be given to: title, description and keyword meta tags, H1, H2...H6, internal linking anchor text, alt tags, bolding and italicizing keywords, keyword proximity, keyword density, relevance and internal linking text and site structure.

You should aim for a keyword density of around 5%. If you over search engine optimise your page by putting in the same keyword too many times you run the risk of being penalised by the search engines.

Google places emphasise on what it calls 'Semantic Latent Indexing' - this simply means that you should also use words related to your main keyword phrases within the content on your website.

"Off-Page SEO":

Increase your overall search engine ranking by increasing the number of links to your website from other relevant websites. It's extremely important who links to you and how they do it. This applies to all links (both from pages contained within your own website and from other websites) that point to your specific page(s).

Incoming links must include your main keywords in the "anchor text". To avoid being penalised by the search engines you should try to vary your link text and have close to the same % of links containing the specific keywords you're trying to rank well for, as the top ranked websites.

This can be achieved by using specialised software which compares 'your site' with those of your competitors.

Remember each page on your website should be search engine optimised as it has it's own opportunity to rank well in the search engines.
